A lot of people have been waiting for the Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband service to roll out in the country. The registration for the service is available, but Reliance did not give any details about the plans and tariff, until now.

The telecom company had announced that services will be available first in those regions that showed the most interest. Nevertheless, the company will also be giving out a free Preview offer to customers in that region. Yes, as per a report, Reliance will launch a free Jio GigaFiber Preview offer, that will give users free broadband internet.

This is exactly like the Preview offer that was given to early adopters of Jio’s telecom service. Users were given up to a year of free 4G data and unlimited calling, just to give a taste of the service. And this is a great offer, and you can read more about it below.

The Jio GigaFiber provides users with 100 Mbps of download and upload speeds, and with the Preview offer, it can be enjoyed for free. The Preview offer will be given to all the early subscribers of the service. It will last for three months, wherein users will be given a monthly usage of 100GB. If you run out of the 100GB, you can simply add a top-up pack that would add 40GB of extra data. These top-ups are free as well, but we are not sure how many free top-ups a user will be given every month.

100GB is a lot less that what other internet service provides in the country give its users, but then you’re getting the Jio GigaFiber for free. A recent report had stated that each user could use up to 1.1TB of data each month, so according to that, Jio may probably give unlimited data top-ups. Details about what the speed would be after hitting the FUP was not mentioned. For a 100 Mbps line, you can expect the speeds to cut down to 10 Mbps maybe, but that’s not bad.

However, not all is free, and users will have to pay a one-time fee for the device that would connect your Home to the Jio Hub.

Registering for Jio GigaFiber is pretty simple, and takes hardly any time. All you have to do, is head to the Jio website, and you should see a Register for Jio GigaFiberoption. Clicking on this will take you to the registration page.

Here, you will need to pinpoint your location, and input your Name and Phone number. That’s about it. For your region to be picked by Reliance, there should be plenty of interest. Therefore, make sure you tell all your friends and neighbours in the vicinity to register.

Although Jio is providing three months of free GigaFiber connection to users, there are some charges. Every subscriber will have to pay a fee of Rs.  4500, which is for the Jio ONT instrument. This device would be placed in your home, and will connect to the GigaHub. You will need this device if you want to get connected to the internet.

However, Jio will refund the Rs. 4500 to you when you return the Jio ONT device, in case you aren’t happy with the service. The device has to be in good working condition though, or you may not get that money back.

Along with the high speed broadband connection, subscribers will also be given free access to Jio GigaTV, and Jio SmartHome services. You will also get access to all of the premium Jio apps.

This is all the information we have for now, and the proper tariff hasn’t yet been shared by Jio. However, that isn’t of importance right now, because everyone who registers and is selected, will get the Jio GigaFiber Preview offer. There are chances that Jio could even extend this service after three-months.
